On Sunday, October 29 we took the whole clan down to Devon and Chris's place in Bethel to see everyone, and to celebrate a few birthdays - Chris's, whose was really about 3 weeks ago, Karen's, whose was about a week ago, and Hayley & Shelby's, whose was a couple weeks ago.

We had a bunch of people there who haven't been on the web site for some time.  Here's my niece Amanda, who will be 2 in December, handing Hayley a toy to play with.  Actually the toy was a pumpkin shaped candle, which Hayley promptly started to chew on.  Hayley's been doing a lot of chewing lately, including on me and her sister.  It cracks me up, but it makes Shelby cry, so we have to keep an eye on this behavior.  In the foreground below Shelby's reprogramming the phone - she had already reprogrammed the answering machine within a few minutes of our arrival, and was moving on to bigger and better things.

Shelby's about done with the phone; I have no idea what Hayley is doing.

Amanda's eating lunch with Elmo; Hayley's trying to get in on the food and Elmo action but is just too short.

Amanda was asking Devon to wipe her hands for her, as she was pretty much done with lunch.  Hayley's still trying to figure out a way to get up with Elmo.

Amanda's done with lunch, but she knows Hayley's got designs on Elmo and isn't about to let him out of her sight.

Karen, a.k.a. Rangy (Amanda's syllable-swapping mangulation of the word "grammy") is playing with Shelby - she really missed the little ones over the last three weeks while they were in California and Hartford.

A little Shelby - Rangy snuggle.  Rangy was doing the snuggling, while Shelby was trying to get her hands on those pictures that Rangy had.
